Song begins at 30:03, solo begins at 32:45.
Also, it looks like Jim Hall is using some variant of circular picking. See 33:24 to 33:36

The album Jim did with Art Big Blues is one of my favorites. With Michael Moore on bass, Steve Gadd on drums and Mike Manieri on vibes.
Very modern sound but tasteful. The bass/drums are killing it the whole album. And Mike Manieri—has to be some of his best work.
I know people like their classic era jazz, but the mid- to late-70s were a vibrant time IMO when old dogs were learning new tricks and changing up their sound. And I love Jim’s tone on that album.

wow u weren't kidding about the tone!
how is it they are getting such 'clean' sounds?? are they recording into multiple mics?

By that time Creed Taylor had the formula down pat.

I really like the Jim Hall of this era. All Jim Hall is excellent, IMO, but at this point he plays masterfully around the tone and has an almost mystical way with the harmonies--a very mature approach to music.

Huh... I have always thought "So In Love" would make an excellent vehicle for blowing, ever since I was the FOH engineer for a high school production of the musical Kiss Me Kate in 1975 ...and yet, I think this is the first time I've ever heard a jazz combo take on this tune!

Looks like Steve Swallow on bass?
-
in the video, yes, Steve Swallow when he was still young and scrawny and playing an upright bass. I had seen parts of this performance but never the whole thing before. What a remarkable band.
