I've had the first two volumes for a long time, this one is expanded.
Somehow I forgot the legendary Tina Brooks was on the gig.

I don't have a record player... is this available for download? While I'd love to get the whole "LP Experience" (I miss it... the liner notes, the pictures), I'm not going to start collecting vinyl as another hobby, LOL.

Here's a breakdown of what the whole set entails:
    "Side One
    Side 1:

    1. Birks’ Works (Dizzy Gillespie) – 9:43
    2. Hallelujah* (Vincent Youmans) – 8:19

    Side 2:

    1. Lady Be Good (George Gershwin, Ira Gershwin) – 9:58
    2. Lover Man (Jimmy Davis, Ram Ramirez, James Sherman) – 8:20
    3. 36-23-36* (Kenny Burrell) – 3:35

    LP2
    Side 3:

    1. Swingin’ (Clifford Brown) – 9:03
    2. If You Could See Me Now* (Tadd Dameron, Carl Sigman) – 5:25
    3. Beef Stew Blues* (Randy Weston) – 4:32

    Side 4:

    1. The Next Time You See Me, Things Won’t Be the Same* (Earl Forest, Bill Harvey) – 7:30
    2. The Take Off* (Kenny Burrell) – 5:30

    LP3
    Side 5:

    1. Birks’ Works alternate take (Dizzy Gillespie) – 9:39
    2. Lady Be Good alternate take (George Gershwin, Ira Gershwin) – 9:55

    Side 6:

    1. Love Walked In (George Gershwin, Ira Gershwin) – 5:45
    2. 36-23-36/The Theme (Kenny Burrell) – 12:27

    Kenny Burrell, guitar
    Tina Brooks, tenor saxophone
    Bobby Timmons, piano
    Roland Hanna, piano*
    Ben Tucker, bass
    Art Blakey, drums
    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>
Sides 4, 5 & 6 are all previously unissued tracks, which seems to indicate that they're going with 4 tracks that were previously "rejected". That said, I have to wonder if "rejected" here means that they simply chose a different take as is the case for "Birks' Works", "Lady Be Good" & "36-23-36"?"

So everything was recorded on the same day 8/29/59, Hanna and Timmons both played the gig
It's been awhile, I need to go back and revisit this session.
