Went to see this chap last night and captured this short and sweet solo. Not his shreddiest that night, but extremely musical...

Very inspiring to hear someone who is not just a virtuoso (all GJ players are) but someone with a creative, open and genuinely improvised approach to this music.

Just as impressive to me is his wonderful rhythm player Julien Cattiaux. One of the best in Paris...

Also on stage, brits Marcus Penrose (who plays in my quartet) and Tobie Medland on violin (standing by here, but they are a beast, check them out.)

Absolutely. I actually get a bit bored with the standard gypsy sound. After a while it all tends to sound much the same but this had enough jazz-feel, phrasing and variety in it to keep it fresh. Good one.

Adrien is definitely on my top 5 fav. current guitarists list.
