I love his lyrical sound. I hear his lineage in Blue Mitchell and Teramasa Hino. There's so much to be learned from listening to trumpet players.
Nostalgia is a contrafact of Out Of Nowhere that I play more than the original tune. Yeah, GuyBoden, Fat Girl was one of the overlooked greats. Thanks for giving him a spotlight!

An interesting figure who seems almost forgotten today but was an influence on Miles, Brownie, Howard Mcgee, Lee Morgan etc.
Maybe overlooked because he died in 1950 after a very short career @ only 26 from tuberculosis and heroin addiction but just a fabulous trumpet player.
