Going to hear Peter Bernstein tonight at the Lewiston Jazz Fest. I'm not too versed on his stuff, just know his name from here, so it should be interesting. My wife is a singer, and PB will be with Anais Reno, so it will be a fun night for both of us. Always good music and food under the stars at the LJF.

A friend of mine was raving about Anais Reno after he saw her recently.Seems strange that she doesn't have an album for sale.Should be a great show with Bernstein.Enjoy!

Yeah, I really like female singers with a lower range, like AR. SV comes to mind. Also, in a different genre, Corinne Drewery.

I saw Anais Reno here in the UK recently (at the Watermill in Dorking), she was excellent. Hard to believe she is only 20, great voice and confidence, she had total command of the audience.

Interesting material too, some obscure old standards, some of her own songs which sound good, and a couple of tunes by King Crimson and Billy Joel!

I’ve seen Peter Bernstein at the same venue a few times (with Larry Goldings and Bill Stewart), he always sounds great too.

Anaïs Reno has a fine new live album, recorded live at Pizza Express Jazz Club in London in 2023 and released on their new PX Records label.

I saw her live and she’s a remarkable talent. Pianist Pete Malinverni has a remarkable track record for nurturing new talent - he’s head of jazz at Purchase and his previous vocal discovery was Samara Joy.

I second your love for Corinne. Her and her partner Andy Connell obviously love 60's pop but they have become more and more jazzy over the years with their arrangements in live concerts.Don't know if you are a fan of Workshy with Chrysta Jones, but they are similar to Swing Out Sister and have been around for almost the same amount of time.
