Of course Jim Hall and Wes Montgomery never really explored the full potential of the ES175 - here it is with a talk box! And the guitar appears on all three of the band's hits.

In the matter of ES-175s outside of jazz can only think of Rafferty, Dylan ( Wilburys clip ), Jeff Beck ( Scorsezi Blues series ) and Steve Howe in Yes. Any others?

Rafferty worked during the '60s in a Glasgow-based folk trio, The Humblebums. Eventually, the group was reduced to a duo and one night on a pub gig, Gerry's musical partner broke a guitar string and decided to tell a few stories and jokes. The audience lapped them up so it became a regular feature of the act. Figuring that his monologues were attracting more attention than his playing, the performer amicably split with Rafferty and Billy Connolly went on to become a national then international star.
