Oops sorry I missed those posts and yes I agree.

Jordan has a mastery of harmony and few can play one guitar with the ability that SJ can play two.

I like his approach to pop tunes Beatles etc..But..I was very disappointed with his trying to re-create Jimi Hendrix the voice the clothes and mostly..the playing.

Now that’s impressive! Piano and guitar at the same time?

I haven't listened to him a lot in the last few years, but "All The Children" is one of my favorite all time instrumentals.

And singing simultaneously, as well. I saw him with Mimi Fox about a month ago in which he played piano, guitar and sang "My One And Only Love" and did all three very well simultaneously. I don't know how many brains Stanley has, but it's more than the normal number.

    And he can blaze away.

I have been amazed by his playing since his first album. Here's why I don't listen to him more compared to others.

    1. The timbre isn't as rich as say Johnny Smith and Wes Montgomery due to his instrument chosen.

    2. His solo playing lacks the diversity of other instruments in the mix. There are exceptions.

    3. Sometimes a tune sounds better without all that busy activity. Gabor Szabo is an example of this principle.

    Nonetheless, Stanley's a master.

I saw Stanley at the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano back in the late 80s, he was spectacular, they need to invent a new instrument for him as he was playing 3 guitars at once. I still remember him playing Yesterday by the Beatles, and can say it was better than their original version.
