Polyrhythm on piano

I've been attempting to play triples with my right hand and 8th note chords in my left hand.
That's what's written on the sheet music I have.
I think what I'm actually doing is playing the 1st and 3rd beats of the triples in my left hand instead of
straight 8th notes. Any, recommendations for fixing this? Or is this what's actually being played by others
most of time?

Got it figured out.
I guess writing out a problem does help solve it!
