That was a classic.... I always thought of White as a one hit wonder because of that song but he actually had quite a long recording career.

He's all over Tina Turner's Foreign Affair album. He plays on it and he wrote 4 of the tunes, including Steamy Windows.

I'm a big fan of his (and hers). All of his albums are chock full of great tunes. I even dig his late 70s/early 80s period where he kinda went disco. I don't think it worked for him career wise, but even those are awesome albums. Impossible to wash the swamp funk off of him.

Speaking of Johnny Cash, this has got to be worth some $$ - how much I wouldn't know:

P.S. - Someone thought that Johnny Cash's signature on a busted up telecaster is worth at least $667, s/he may be right, just add a story-line to it: "Johnny busted up my Tele in a dexadrine fueled rage! But afterwards, feeling remorseful, offered to sign it for me."

I got to see him live at the (old) Rock'n'Bowl in New Orleans. Just him and a drummer. Great night, funky venue.
