If I'm playing an approach chord, and I'm inside those changes, do I consider that a high or low chromatic rating?

If I play a Herbie Nichols band on Tuesday, and play Dixieland Wednesday, should I average the two?

Does the use of a b13 on a dominant chord going to a major get me a higher rating?

Isn't this a little like going to a book reading and asking the author the percentage of adjectives he uses?

Sure, I understand, this poll is not for everybody.

It's all about connecting chord tones and extensions for me. Chromaticism (for me, half step movement of ANY concept) has ALWAYS played a huge role in getting around and in the development of my own language.

Here's a link to some of my compositions. ALL instruments and solos, done by myself. I went back and re-tracked ALL of my guitar parts on these within the past month with my new Carvin HH2! Hope ya dig!
