Title speaks for itself, to mess around I tried to start a solo with chord soloing, octaves, and then single notes. I thought it would be a good challenge especially to work on dynamics. Here's the end result. It could be a fun trick to pull on gigs or jam sessions. Admittedly, my octave soloing needs work, out of the three, chord soloing comes easiest for me.

... "Wes Montgomery in reverse" when soloing?

Brilliant!
I see what you mean by "Wes in reverse": chord soloing first, then octaves and, finally single notes.

I think it works pretty well. I think in an actual performance you'd probably have to finish off with the chordal stuff again to make for a balance. Nicely played!
