I first just wanted to launch this thread....a thread for everyone to contribute their own personal rendition of this classic Christmas song.
I have an arrangement of my own that I will be recording tomorrow, and if it goes well, I will post it.
This will be a fun way for all of us to close out the year, together.
Looking forward to hearing your own versions.
Merry Christmas!

Very nice !!

Wonderful idea! Here’s a version I did a while back as a Christmas gift to family and friends:
Happy holidays and may the coming year be filled with blessings and joy!

looking forward to hearing these tomorrow, and also adding my contribution as well. Sleep well, young elves!

Man, Jeff...that was beautiful! Love also, how you left the TV running in the background.

This is really nice. Never thought of it as a "pretty" tune but this is lovely and that Taylor sounds great.

The low D sounds huge.

Well, I've got news for you. You've got a very nice voice and it betrays the man. Put it back, Allan, it's more than fine the way it was. Do it, I'm serious!

Nice versions from everyone.
Quite interesting, I couldn't find a lead sheet anywhere, just bits and bobs on the internet and quite a few chord variations. There's a fearsome Real Book thing in Eb so I did it in C, naturally :-)

Okay, tell you what....I will either re-post the video, or I may just try it again and maybe will like it better. I just felt like it needed to mature a little bit more. But tha k you for the vote of confidence.

Anyone singing Jazz makes me envious! It is vocal music after all, and the lyrics are always so beautiful. I can sing very well pitch wise, but the voice...

Put the video back, Allan. It's your thread, don't spoil it.
