I am about to. I guess nobody is 100% happy with anything they record, I think. But I do like it, I listened again today after stepping away. Thanks for the boost!

Here ya go...I brought it back! Anyway, it is very honest playing and singing.
I wonder.....do you folks think that this approach (singing and playing), is actually improving my "ear"? I would think it does, and would benefit my guitar playing.
-
Hooray! You really do have a nice timbre to your voice and the honesty, as you put it, is very evident. I'm very glad you didn't dump it altogether, which you might have done.
I don't know if it improves your ear but the thing is that singing engages the heart, not just the cerebral mind, so that tends to filter into what you're playing. Also it means that you're listening at a deeper and more rounded level than when one's just playing notes so it all helps.
If I can ask, what do your kids think of your singing?
-
I'm not really sure, because I don't have kids....lol

Put it this way, if I'd never heard the first one I'd have heard that one quite differently, without comparison. Sequels are hard. That take is probably no better or worse than any other providing there's nothing to measure it against. One may not want to judge or compare but it's almost impossible so soon.
For that reason I'm going to duck the question, it wouldn't be fair on your efforts.
-
I am reserving my first one as the best take. Nothing more to do with it. Now, gotta move on.
