Hi !
I made a little thing about voicing.
It's a little chart, you can organize it the way you want.
All minor scales (melodic and harmonic).
I'm sorry I only did it with major scale.
You can use it for Major Cadences, for minor cadences you can use for the Dominant a substitution.
Yes, melodic minor is missing if you want it, tell me.
I can do for quartal too.
Be careful, I'm a bit rude at the end because I'm coming from another thread that's going nowhere.
Jazz chords harder than 'normal' chords?
I'm sorry, I'm not into tab... I'm sorry if I don't put numbers.Last edited by Lionelsax; 10-19-2022 at 10:04 AM.

It's okay except for your tritone sub. You can't have a natural D in a C#7 or C#7b5.
(except where the C#7 is a C#7b9. That has a natural D)

Geez dude, lighten up, they're chords, not the cure for cancer.
Looks like a good, handy dandy chart that focuses on common stuff a player would actually use and not add4#11b9no5 chords.

If you can only lose your temper when corrected instead of acknowledging a mistake (and it's hard not to make mistakes doing this kind of thing) then there's no point in telling you about them. Everybody will just say 'Wonderful' to you and you'll be very happy :-)

What would Barry Harris say?

OK !
I made another chart and I previously wrote what it will happen... But someone will write something.
It's about quartal on minor melodic mode...
I forgot G9, G13, G7#4 ... are exactly the same for me, so don't bother me with chord spelling.
I'm just sharing useful things.
Do whatever you want with that.
On a minor tune using quartal chords, when you are on a dominant these voicings are great.
Only on a Dominant Chord, that's OK ?
This chart completes the other one, about tritonic substitution.
Transpose them and you will have interesting things.
