Have any of you guitarists played at a jazz festival recently?

If you haven’t done so already, check out what Peter Henriksen (Henriksen Amps) is doing with an annual Jazz Guitar Festival in Arvada, Colorado.

I've also curated a two day jazz festival in the past, it's lots of work, especially if you haven't done anything similar in the past.

No, I play jazz.
(That's a joke that will only be funny to Americans)

No, I get it, even over here in the UK. While I do actually play jazz at some jazz festivals, I'm very much in the minority as most of the performers are anything but jazz. Still, I enjoy it and the atmosphere is almost always good. You gotta take the gigs, even when they don't sound promising. Today's gig on a college campus with some seasoned pros was magic.
