The book is well loved around here for good reason. I bought it many years ago and love it. Problem is that I don't have a CD player anymore. Does anybody know if the audio files have been digitized anywhere for download?

I suppose I can re-buy the book for the audio download code.

Yes, I bought a copy through Amazon for a friend and when I asked if it came with a cd, he said no disc but everything available by download.

I was equally searching for the audio for this same book. Would any of you be kind enough to share the audio by any chance?

Dang, I just bought Jazz Improvisation for Guitar by Garrison Fewell that was supposed to include a link to the audio, but the seller did not provide it. Would you please send me the link? I'm really excited to start working on this book. Thank you so much.

According to the publisher, a code is included in the book that you use to access the online audio files:

If your book doesn’t have the code on the first page of the book then you must have an old version of the book that came with a CD. I had that version then bought the new one with the audio code. I gave the new book to a friend but downloaded the audio first. I kept my dog eared version of the book as it was filled with penciled in notes. It is such a great book and deserves to be in those lists of “best jazz guitar books”. Currently about 25 bucks on Amazon with the audio code. Quite the bargain these days.

First post, been lurking a while.

I am not particularly tech savvy but I should have the cds for Garrison's Berklee press books. I will be happy to give the discs to someone who is willing to make them digitally available to forum members who'd like to have access to them. I believe that Garrison would be in favor of sharing this. I absolutely would not trade or share the books via PDF but I'm okay with letting people who paid for the books have access to the audio.

I am still willing to mail the 2 discs I have to anyone in the lower 48 who is willing to "digitize" and share the CD's with anyone on the board who needs them. PM me and I'll get them to you if you will share them with members on this forum .

I don't know why people need the audio files, the book contains melodic scale patterns, either straight eighth or quarter notes, no complicated rhythms. Just play the examples and you'll hear how they sound.

Not a CD drive in the house.
Yes Mick, I'm with you. I can read music fairly well (for a guitar player) have never used the disks.
In addition to not having a cd drive, I just bought a new vehicle and am (old enough to be) pissed off because it doesn't have a cd player

External CD drives for pcs can be bought for very little money. I still have a lot of my old CDs, and I can borrow jazz CDs from my local public library and copy them.

Because jazz guitar is only a hobby of mine (I play Americana and roots music for tens of dollars at gigs) hearing Garrison’s audio is indispensable for me. Also A big part of this book is jazz phrasing and for that the printed page doesn’t supply all the information. I ended up buying the new version of the book because it had the audio code and gave my old copy to a friend. The book is pretty expensive on Amazon now and almost $50. personally, I would not give away the audio code as I feel that would be cheating Garrison‘s family not really sure how Amazon royalties work, but some of you may not realize Garrison passed away.

Well, they're just audio tracks of the examples, won't be of much use if you don't have the book.

It does if your sight reading is up to snuff, but then again, you wouldn't need the audio tracks if it was.
