I heard Miles only in his Big Pants period, mid 1980's at Massey Hall. His band was killing and mid-concert they were playing one of those unlikely hits by Lauper or Jackson and Miles brought the house to a pause, a pregnant pause as I'd learned of when reading about his mastery and at that moment when time seemingly stopped, every listener holding their collective breath and finally released by Mr. Davis who in total control allowed us to all whoop with joy I saw genius.

Fog triggers feelings of lonesomeness, but can also stimulate the imagination, as you have to imagine the surroundings more in your inner eye.
Fogbound some would Miles probably hear like this:
