At first, these examples look daunting . . . and they certainly are but there are some scores that can never be exactly written by a composer but only approximated in musical notation since they are impressionistic sounds in the composer's head. So, we as good musicians, will try to get the "feel" of the piece but many times it is difficult if you've never heard it performed. In fact, listen to any of Bach's music, to a lesser degree, that are devoid of written dynamics and how differently the pieces sound among various performers. Imagine how differently this piece would sound! However, for me, this is pure mental masturbation. Play live . . . Marinero

Yes, I read both bass and treble clef. The attached chart doesn’t hold a candle to reading a Keith Jarrett solo.
