I guess I have been ruined by my ipod's shuffle feature. I don't put on specific discs anymore. However, my favorite upbeat stuff is always Gypsy Jazz. If you aren't feeling uplifted after a few rounds with Birelli or the Rosenberg boys, you need to have someone check your pulse.

Buddy Emmons, Steel Guitar Jazz (Get's me thinking outside the box; reminds me to look for other paths.)

I while back I was listening to Pandora and they snuck in some Buddy Emmons on me. Years ago when I listened to a bit more country kind of stuff, Buddy was one of my favorites. I had quite forgotten about him and had to go dig out the vinyl (along with with the turntable) to take a new listen. What a great sense he had for the steel guitar!

I didn't have Steel Guitar Jazz, I will have to see if I can find a copy.

Of all the feelings and perceptions I don't think there is anything as cool as the muscian/guitarist who plays the mechanics. I guess thats why so many souls spend every last minute of life doing it and listening to it.
