I have used them both pretty damn close to daily since then. Last week the last, very well used lowball broke when I set it in the sink by itself, but managed to knock an empty bottle onto it. Last pour I drank with it the night before, I noted some little chips on the rim and smiled to myself at all the use it seen. Next day before noon and it was gone for good. I was sad for 60 seconds and the realized, a glass could not have served a better "life". From simple Jim Beam to Macallen 18. Now just moments ago the last, more fragile snifter just departed its service, years after its 3 comrades gave up the ghost. I'm okay. I'm happy for what I had to enjoy for so many years.
Enjoy what you are lucky to own and enjoy using it, making it look and feel used because one day you and your nice things will be gone. Don't save them for someone to enjoy while you're dead.
