No wonder there aren’t any young ones…….

The channel he's referring to isn't "the official Chet Baker channel" but one for "Slow Down Sounds," which seems to be promoting re-engineered, previously-unreleased tracks from the period of the "Let's Get Lost" documentary. The "official" part would seem to refer to the ownership status of these particular manipulated tracks rather than any "official" Chet Baker source.
So what's going on, beyond the strange mutilation of the audio material? Somebody getting access to material that has, for whatever reason, never been released? In similar "lost sessions" situations, it's often not so much a matter of rediscovered master recordings as of rights being tied up. There is a Chet Baker Estate--https://chetbakerjazz.com/chet-baker-estate-and-foundation/--but a search for "swimming by moonlight" got no results.
I haven't found anything about the technical end of the project--like why it's necessary to mess with the tracks. Here's the Slow Down Sounds promo page:

The woods are full of 'em. At least NYC seems to be. Samara Joy and Esperanza Spalding come to mind immediately (though at 41 Esperanza's maybe not that young).

Cool demonstration of how much pitch control goes into great singing. That's why singing's damn hard. All that inflection goes into the sound of the performance. Most people don't have that type of control or intuition to do that.

Yeah, seeing the "before" on the graph was cool.
-
But the dumbassery was the point? :P
I doubt auto tuning great historical singers will ever become accepted.
-
It's dumbassery to change it, not to use the technology to exam the subtleties in a different light. You don't think seeing the original wave lengths was cool?
-
That's what I originally wrote, that the real pitch readout was cool. I just interpreted your post #7 too harshly as if you were downplaying the real Chet analysis.

Chet’s a funny one - he’s in baritone range, but sings falsetto.
