Except he'll have to drive for 17+ hours on I-65 and I-75. You could put him up for the night :-)

Oh did I grab the wrong location? It looked like Florida on google maps.

Any details, Dawg? Apologies if I missed any announcement but I don't look at every thread these days. But it would be great to see some details and hear some snippets.

Well, it's not jazz so I'm not sure the forum is my target market, lol. I don't wanna let the cat outta the bag before it happens but getting a few spins now, have a few hard copies to send out this weekend, have made a couple connections, and was able to land a couple higher quality shows. I still have a ton of work to do and dough to blow on promotions.

Yup, sorry :-)

I miss Florida every year when the weather turns to crap in Texas. Bradenton/Palmetto/Sarasota/St. Pete....love that gulf coast. Opening Christmas gifts in 70-80 degree weather. I'ma try to make it down there later this year, or, at least hope to!

You can’t make everyone happy, and trying to do so is a fools goal.

[QUOTE=AllanAllen;1424600]Have you been to 88 Live Piano Bar? Live jam Tuesdays 7-10pm is probably a good place to start. I literally just copied the location from your profile and added "live jazz" to the google search.[/QUOTE
Right up the street - no jazz - I was a founding member of the rock/pop/country group that plays there during the season. I don't go listen to music - don't enjoy it unless I'm playing and I definitely don't do jam sessions.
-
Not to point out the obvious, but if you want to find people to play with, this is where the people are.

Not looking for people to play with - would rather play solo or maybe duo with bass player but they're rare around here. I'm just a 'behind the ferns' solo kind of guy but we mostly only have sports bars.

I'd rather play solo - less drama and I really don't like being around musicians much
-
Yeah, I’ve been there too.

We have both kinds of music here in Yuma, Arizona. Norteno and west coast gangster rap.

And TX is pretty much a workaholic state....
