Since nobody has mentioned Stuff Smith, I will:
....and as for harmonica, here's Toots Thielemans with another favorite of min, Peggy Lee:

Since we're talking about different instruments for jazz, how about mandolin? Tiny Moore and Jethro Burns were a couple of the originators, and current players are Don Stiernberg and Paul Glasse.

Here is Don Stiernberg with one of my favorite guitarists, Andy Brown

This one slipped my mind somehow. This is a great album.
-
Jake Shimabukuro, ukelele player, with Earl Klugh:
-
Donna Lee, Alexandre Silvério, bassoon.
-
Abe Lagrimas Jr. is another great uke player with some jazz releases.

My voice is for harmonica. I was reading about this instrument and came across an interesting story in match reviews. Some people don’t write about their hobbies honestly, and later someone gets disappointed when they realize it wasn’t as expected. It's a reminder that being genuine and upfront about your interests is so important, especially when it comes to connecting with others. Hobbies like playing an instrument can really add a unique layer to who we are, and it's nice when others appreciate that.

These guys can play but to my ears - as a former mandolin player in the Irish trad. field - its all a bit 'chipmunk-y' Maybe I'm too used to the version by Wes and his siblings.

Perhaps you would prefer this one. Mark O'Connor on guitar with the Grisman Quintet, Eldon Shamblin with the rest.
-
Or this: Satin Doll I love Tiny's solo on this, I listen to it often.

Is that a mando-cello in the middle of that? 'I've heard of them, just ain't never seen one'.

Some friends and acquaintances, upon hearing it playing in my car, have said that they would consider this to be the worst:
Personally, I like it, and it occasionally tempts me to get my pipes out again and take them to a jam.

Bagpipes you say? Bagpipes?

Rufus Harley used to sit in on some of our gigs.

You kinda had to see it to believe it.

90% of electric jazz guitar playing (including my own, often).
