Yes, personal insults are never a good idea. But if you must, make them witty and speak them in a little known tongue - like say Latin.

Too many people study Latin. How about Sorbian? That language is so obscure, even the person being insulted wouldn't mind, mainly because they would have no idea that they have been insulted. And then the member doing the insult would avoid being banned.

Insults: Seems I always miss all the drama. Unless I'm the one being..umm... impatient. Oh well. When I wish to personally insult someone I use French. Because it's probably the most elegant language on the planet and I don't speak it. I can therefore, claim someone has put one of the joke Monty Python translators on my phone leading to the unfortunate exchange.
