Yea. I've been there. Before college. During college. There is no nobility in poverty. And so many risks of finding a bad end because you lack the resources to be resilient. At least I was able to have faith it would get better. So many are just stuck. Can't see choosing a path where it's a given you'll be poor and it's only going to get worse as tech gets better. That's why I can't recommend music as a career. Especially Gregorian chants, Mongolian throat singing, or jazz.

On there other hand, there is nothing like knowing that you lifted yourself from poverty with hard work and good choices. And still playing jazz hours a day.
