Technically this is a transcription of a transcription. Samara performed the famous ella fitzgerald solo at emmett cohen's a while ago. I just discovered it last month and got hooked. Had to learn it.

I don't think I've ever heard a scat solo transcribed before - a vocal influenced by instruments coming full-circle back to an instrument. Great solo; great ears! Emmet Cohen's whole series of videos is astoundingly good.

Any guitar player would be hard pressed to play a solo that's so nuanced, in the pocket and grounded as Cyrille Aimee sings here - and no disrespect to Dan Wilson, the whole band is on fire here - she just reaches a new level as does Emmet with his piano solo.
