Merely knowing a chord by its exact name when heard.. now what? Parrot it back? No! Got to add good value - thats the idea of jazz as far as I know.
When basic skills are aquired, this is what 99.99% of training should be about. This doesn't automatically happen just by learning some fancy technical ability.
