I'm new to all this uploading stuff online. It confuses the hell out of me! But one can only do ones best I guess:
Peace.

This sounds good. Who are you and how did you record it? There's nothing to go by on your YouTube channel.

Hello Peter. Thanks for your time.

I retired at the end of 2024 so now I have the time to get my ass into gear & start releasing some of the many tracks I've written over the years!
I use cubase & many guitar plugins like McRocklin Suite & Neural DSP. Two guitars= Schecter Reaper-6 FR S & a Strandberg Boden Prog NX 7.

Rambling, free form, very appealing. I like the guitar sounds. I'm guessing you played all the tracks? The only one I might try differently would be the drums, maybe make them more supportive but that's only IMHO , not a criticism. I kept thinking, where's the theme, where's the break, I need a hook, and then I realized you don't need any of that!

Hello Lee. Thanks for your input, much appreciated

I got out of the bad habit of getting bored with what you're constantly hearing while recording & feel a need to change it. If you like what you first come up with then don't change it.
Many artists I'm sure often listen back to their stuff thinking: 'I wish I'd done this there or changed something else'-- It will drive you mad! Class what you've done as history & write something new.
Just my approach & opinion of course.
Peace.

Well that is some powerful, dynamic guitar playing with cool, unpredictable harmonic changes. I'm sure Wayne Krantz and Scott Henderson would approve. Would be great as (dystopian?) sci-fi soundtrack music.
How about a short "making of" video in your kitchen, or even a pic? Just an idea, as I like to see the human side of creativity. I've never heard of the guitars you use, not that it matters.
Anyway, good luck man, as you have something to say on that "Schecter Reaper", IMHO.

Thanks Peter for your kind words & support my friend. I just love sitting at the computer writing & recording music. Always have done, probably always will until I die.

Sounds good! Very modern jazz - almost fusion in nature. Thanks for sharing!

I'm having Terge Rypdal flashbacks.... are your compositions freely improvised or is there a basic framework you ad-lib on?
-
Hello Mick, thanks for your time. I normally muck about with chord progressions to start with & build on that= melody, bass lines etc.

Thanks for listening Ellen. The whole album, Miss Steria, is a fusion of different styles & feelings. A feeble attempt at trying to be different, original!?!? One can only try

I thought we'd scared you away, DC. Can be a tough crowd here.

(I used that option here, which is why you see your "lost me" reply).

Yeah, I get that!! The point of questioning it is why said individual felt a need to delete said video on reading my reply!? Forget it, all due respect
