Joe Pass, out of print, Chord Encounters for Guitar?

Has anyone used this book? If so, any advice? What could one get from it that can't be learned in his Chords book, or maybe even the net? I ask because there are copies for sale online but they are not cheap. And there is not a lot out there by way of reviews of the material. Also, I have so many book now.
