As for your question regarding harmonic equivalents, consider that the ii, V and I chords in major and relative minor progressions basically contain the same notes:

Wow, long indeed. Also B7 is a chord I don't see often at all. Any songs you can think of use it?

Now that I think of it, I've seen it once as II7 in a minor tune, Alone Together, measure 9. And the melody is just a long note that's the root of the chord. I thought that was odd.
