Actually, some are and some aren't. They're just a variety of chord clusters. None have the root in the bass. Here's the fingerings I used for two hands. These go to my arrangement of part of Cherokee.

Here's some "pandiatonic" chords with the beginning of the melody of "Giant Steps" as the the top pitches. I sent a copy of it to John McLaughlin. He said, "To say the least, your chord structures are very interesting. I have no idea how you can get this harp-like quality on the guitar. On listening, I would imagine that your work will take you into the realm of composition as opposed to the analysis and re-synthesis of existing harmonic movement, though these two aspects are closely related. In any event keep up the good work and thanks."
If you haven't checked out Ted Greene's "V-System" of organizing all possible 4-note voicings for chords it's well worth the read. It opens up new territory in one's chordal thinking.
"V" stands for "voicing group," and there's 14 of them....some will be familiar, some new. TedGreene.com - Teachings - V-System
I guess that many jazz players recognize the problem of thin sound of the thin B & E strings. That's why many use thick strings or even change the B & E strings to a thicker gauge.
For me one...
I've had a few guitars over the years that were like that. Sometimes pickup adjustment worked, sometimes not. I fixed these issues permanently by selling the instruments. Problem solved.
The binding on the neck and headstock are a nice touch. I don't believe the standard 575 has those features. My all-maple 575 has binding on the neck, but not on the headstock. And I love the thing....
Best wishes to the seller and the eventual buyer, but the $24K price tag has me liking my 1944 L7 pretty well tonight, especially since I paid less than $2K for it several years ago. I know it's not...
Northerners wear caps, so stop mithering, I wear a flat cap all the time when I take the whippets and ferrets out for a walk to the corner shop for the essentials, Tripe and Black pudding. Bury...
Yeah, I thought Tommy did a great job holding down the rhythm in a really powerful way, but it was young Matteo who had me shaking my damn head.
I often hit a point listening to a guy play a...
Richards Guitars (Stratford) stock Godin and have some archtops, such as this one. Caveat; I've not visited, though it is fairly close to me. I found them online when I was looking for one of the...
Me and my American wife moved from London (where we once saw a guy brandishing a knife and running down the street after someone else) to the English countryside. So far she's been very disappointed...
Great live performance, I wish I was there, and, who said you can't play fast with finger picking, erm, I think it was me................................
Both great players, but, Matteo what...
That YouTube video only states there are no cutouts but doesn’t show it… so no real proof there. I would like to see a cellphone picture thru the f-hole to see the top from inside for some conclusive...
A tele with a humbucker is a great guitar but there are great archtops under $500! Just consider them for what they are: pressed laminated archtops and don’t expect them to sound as a solid...
Many thanks for posting, that's an excellent melodic line, I had to slow it down for my slow ability, but it's a great line for my Legato style.
I have both of your Legato Books.
