    Lovely.

I had a lesson with her a few years back. She's nice. This is a beautiful piece, lovely arrangement and wonderful interpretation.

So soulful and utterly beautiful... and her sound is amazing, too... her guitar sounds almost like a harp, I don'd know how she does that...

Wow! She's a revelation. When a guitar can capture that harplike essence, it inspires me to look at the guitar in my lap and say "Why can't YOU do that?"
Another player who can pull those harp tones out of a guitar is Roxane Elfasci, who has been a favourite guitarist of mine since I first hear her.

Come to think of it, it was Johnny Smith's Girl with the Flaxen Hair that moved me to approach guitar with a deeper committment.

Thanks for sharing this clip and thread!

That is SOOOO distracting! I can't stop thinking of her playing while somebody is hovering, drunkenly bobbing and weaving, zooming in and out and daring her to fi@# up. What, did they do, tie a go pro onto a hungry hummingbird and douse her with sweet sugar water? Seriously.
I want to see the out-take where he brushes the neck of the guitar, she glitches, stops, and shoots them a laser look, ...camera backs out REALLY fast, shot of the door and the camera drops to the floor, pan to the ceiling.

That camera work was horrific. Also there are like 6 microphones in the picture?

Beautiful playing though. She had a podcast for a while that was great.

    A "moving" performance

Rosie herself acknowledged the camera work with these words:

it's quite cinematic isn't it - more car chase than quiet waterfall though, guess I got my chance to be a bond girl!

    Superb rendition and interpretation.

Yes, the handling of the camera made me rather sea-sick!

Gorgeous playing and moving camera work aside, anyone know what kind of guitar that is? It looks like there is a lot of neck wood between the ebony board and the top.

It's a raised fingerboard. It's a very common feature on modern classical guitars. It gives a little more access to the upper frets without a cutaway.

Classical players are super conservative and classical guitars need to look like classical guitars to the audience, so it's sort of a sneaky trick.

Thanks, I have been out of touch with recent classical guitar luthiery, and I was not even aware of this. I'll bet the flamenco people are even more snobby about it.
