Does anyone have experience with classical guitars with thin bodies?
    Thanks

The most well-known ones are the Gibson Chet Atkins CE and the Godin Multiac Nylon series...They're both great instruments.

Yes, I know those guitars. But that was not what I meant.
I mean the construction of the guitar is similar to a typical classical guitar.
The guitar body is simply thinner than that of standard classical guitars.

I know someone that had an Alhambra thinbody.Plugged in it was ok sounding in a band setting but played acoustically it was lacking in my opinion.

Yamaha has produced thinline bodied classical guitars for years. The originals were the APX models.

I've owned an APX/NT for years and found it to be a great instrument both acoustically and amplified. The neck is a bit narrower than typical for us non-classical guitarists.

Federico near Madrid is building me one now. He’s great to work with, and wonderful builder. Very reasonable pricing. Contact him!

    +1!
I have considered these to be the reference for classical crossover instruments. I love them. I've worked on them, played them and recommended them to many different types of players. Very playable. Good acoustic response and professional versatility.
I took this idea and had a builder in China make one for me custom with solid woods, a cutaway and bracing that incorporated a bouchet brace. I needed to go custom because I play 7 string. I'll let you know how it breaks in, but for now, it's a delight to play.

Are you looking for something cheap? Or higher quality with at least a solid top? Pickup? Cutaway?

If you massively reduce the volume of an acoustic guitar you're probably going to have a not great sounding guitar. You will radically effect the air resonance mode of the guitar. My guess is that it will sound something like a kid's mini guitar. It could sound acceptable on its own merits but it is doubtful that it will sound like a nice classical guitar.

If I was trying to do this, I'd likely work with a tornavoz of some sort which will drop your air resonance some, despite the small volume. But not enough to fix it.

Check out the carbon fiber Klos Classical. It's a mini body so not quite as full sounding as a standard size body. Still impressive however.

I own a Rick Turner RN6 and it's a delight to play and hear.. Very natural sounding.
