I think it's a rare audience member who knows the difference between a B3 and a good clone either by sight or by sound. I've been using a Roland guitar synthesizer for well over 20 years. The B3 patches are pretty good, especially through a serious stereo sound system. The saxes, vibes, EPs and Harmon muted trumpet are also very convincing. Since I left my regular club gig (where I had an XK5 Pro plus a Leslie 3300 through which to play the synth), On small gigs, I've been using a pair of Toob Metros driven by either a pair of class D heads or my old Alesis A100 stereo amp. I can't recount how many people (including musicians) have come up to the stage looking for the instruments they hear.
