Thanks, sorry I just now read your response 5 months later!

I would like to give the song another attempt, as Graham, Kris and others have pointed out, these changes really require some time to get into your ear; and of course the fast tempo just compounds the difficulty.

I think Jim Hall said "You don't have to play fast in fast tempos". That is something I think about when feeling the tempo is above my technical abilities, not feeling obligated to play constant eighth note lines.

Maybe if I get inspired I will post another version.
