Inspired by the Rodney Jones video on playing-practicing blues, I started practicing in a similar way as RJ suggests.
Currently I am not able to play 63 chorus solos like on Rodney's video.
I mean, I can do it, but then I would be very unhappy with the whole thing.
I decided to practice solo but gradually increasing the number of choruses.
Today I started with 9 chruses of solo in 200 BPM.I will see what it will be like at the end of the week. I only practice blues in F ... :-)

Yes, you can do it since what you played didn't have a lot of guitar clichés, except something à la Wes, I think you played his favourite substitution.

This exercise is great, you record and listen.

I work the same way... People who says it's boring never tried.

I used to stop jazz tracks at the middle of the piano solo because I had listened to what I expected, saxophone or trumpet.
That was a mistake.
Even if it's too long, nice things never happen at the beginning.

Long practise is great. You have to focus on the long form of the tune and have form in your fingers and your own head.

You did good! I doubt you’d have any trouble with being boring on 30 choruses, and you’re probably hyper critical of yourself. Needlessly critical, I might add. Did you think I was boring going choruses on my vid with Rodney? If not, then you have to level set for yourself my friend

That's 30 minutes of playing blues nonstop. How you did it?
Big Blues Chellange.

Wow. I missed the video of Rodney with our own local guitar hero, Mark K. It was cool hearing all those Jazz Blues lines you fellows put out.

When I watched back later I saw he gave visual cues for the trading at the end but his spaces were clear enough to do by ear alone.

My third day of fighting with very long blues.
I think it is going better and better.
Now I recorded 28 choruses of the blues at 200 BPM tempo for the first time.
It draws me more and more ... :-)

Congratulations ! That was great ! I listened to all the take, it was great you were natural without thinking to much, large range. There is something that is missing, maybe rhythm variety but about ideas you are not selfish, I noticed you like using some fourths movements, I don't know if I'm right.

Thank you very much.

Rhytm variety - that's it. I should work on that.Good suggesstion.
It's difficult to play 50 choruses with an artificial background in an interesting way.

And don't underestimate the comping! It's equally (if not more) difficult to comp interestingly for a number of choruses, as it is to solo. Personally I think I enjoy watching the comping even more.!

Almost every Be-Bop and Hard-bop record has a blues recording.
The musicians play great blues solos on these albums, but not for 20 minutes ...
Perhaps it was so that the record producers did not want long solos.
I do not know.

A little bit faster 210 BPM with more power-morrning take nr 3....
