Limiting yourself to a single position

Well maybe CAGED is not a "method", but it definitely is a means of organisation, or even conception.

That's basically what I'm saying. My point is that NO ONE gets on the forum and says "'Every good boy does fine' changed my life" or it's analog to CAGED, but that's NOT necessarily ANY indication of it's lack of value or usefulness. Beyond that, BOTH are more about layout or at least understanding/viewing layout than they are about a methodology.

Knowledge of "every good boy does fine" or CAGED has its value and place, even if it's not in teaching you WHAT to play.
