Playing along by ear just listening to the tunes for practice.
The guitar is my favorite practice guitar. No amplification.
Just hollow body acoustic sound.

There's not many types of practice better than playing along with great recordings.
Nice job, and cool guitar, what is it?

Watched nuclear armeggedon film On the Beach today. Greggory Peck, Ava Gardner, shot in Melborne (the last city to die from radiation).
That tune all over it.

Sure, great advice. Thank you sir.

Just a guitar. I was lucky to be able to pick it up by pure chance.
I have several electrical guitars, and 2 acoustic. But I use this guitar for practicing mostly due to light weight and thin bodied comfort.
Don't need to plug into amp either.

The guitar with amplification (cheap 5W cigar box sized practice amp from Amazon).

Keep up the good work brother - it only gets more enjoyable. Anything - any song, any artist, any piece of gear, any book, lesson, lick or phrase that keeps you inspired and keeps you playing is worth the effort.

I assume you saw On the Beach on TCM since they were showing the film as part of Oscar month. Very good film.

This tune is a kind of trial and error arrangement for getting the harmonic notes in the melodies from the memory of the original tune, which came to the manifestation from daily noodling guitar. It is being used for one of the daily finger exercise tunes.
