I believe that free speech in all of its forms is bedrock to modern civilization. The sadness felt by so many people now reflects the growing oppression which silences the myriad voices that dare share even the slightest contradiction of the doctrine. Fascism is taking us all into the darkness.

"..to say what I want..to hear what I want.."

Did you ever see the film “Team America”? They figure it all out and determine that freedom costs A Buck-O-Five ($1.05).

With more freedom comes more responsibility.

Sadly, even in the 21st century, one still risks being beheaded if one proclaims that the emperor has no clothes.

There may be walls around those who speak, but there are always masses who hunger for the message.
And you speak so eloquently, in music, in message, in thought.
    Thank you

Thanks for the kind encouragement. Most days it feels like pissing into the wind and I’m just too stubborn to stop.

Yes, but. This often reflects the western ascendancy of the individual model of freedom (I can't read minds and don't know if this is your intent). It is also possible that with more freedom comes greater cooperation, more teamwork, more common purpose. Jazz is the very model of this.

What is the backsplash (pun intended)? But seriously, do you mean you are getting negative feedback or just not much feedback at all?

I used background a background of colored smoke that gradually zooms out showing more of itself over time- subliminal messaging to reinforce the “all up in smoke” vibe of this. The piasingb in the wind comment wasn’t about feedback or responses from anyone (99% positive). It was more my internal doubts creeping in that this is all rather pointless - maybe I should try to get out and play in public again
