This piece is improvised from start to finish. I often delve into freeform jazz like this, beginning with just a few notes and then responding and building upon each idea. Doing this on solo guitar isn’t really much different than ensemble spontaneous composition- it’s the “in the moment” mindset that makes it work. Thanks for listening.

The musician requires both memory and foresight, the ability to recall the past and see into the future, to make a spontaneous composition hold together. "The moment" isn't just any particular instant, it's the entire arc of the composition from start to finish.
