Future of jazz guitar amplification?

I recently compared my amp sim to bypassed DI, and I like the DI through the studio monitors better. I’m going to put together a new board with an eq and compressor pedal and DI box instead of amp sims.

I recently compared my amp sim to bypassed DI, and I like the DI through the studio monitors better. I’m going to put together a new board with an eq and compressor pedal and DI box instead of amp sims.

I know what you mean ,
sometimes (for a clean sound)
less is more ….
For the last year , I’ve been just taking out my (humbucker)Jazz box and a long cable ….and plugging into whatever is available
at the venue , bass combos , guitar combos , the house pa mixer jack inputs (without a DI box)
I’ve packed a graphic eq pedal
in the gig bag but I haven’t needed it , so far

makes life interesting too
