Fender Supersonic 22. 99% of the time I use the vintage channel without the "fat" switch engaged. It is close to a vintage Deluxe. Reverb is set on 2.5.

Man there are lots of choices out there, I have a Roland Blues Cube Artist a fantastic amp but not enough clean headroom for me. I also have a Blues Cube 80GX and a Quilter Mini 101 that I run through a Bugera 1-12 cab that sounds really good but I'm still looking for a reasonably priced SS light weight combo amp that will yield a nice warm jazz tone. Anyone using any of the Quilter combos for Jazz or DV Mark Jazz 12 amp? I love tube amps but I'm tired of the weight and the maintenance issues. Thanks for all your post so far they have really broadened my horizons in regard to available choices.

I have a combo with Sansamp Paradriver DI, AI head and a Redstone 10" speaker. Works well. However lately I have mostly used a Mambo 8 Wedge. Good sound and very small and portable.

mambo 8, polytone babybrute, evans Ae100, SF Princeton R

Alessandro Working Dog Rottweiler.
Plenty loud for gigs (40Watts), sounds great at practice volumes (especially with the output set to 50%) and the Jangly/Creamy settings give me both a Fender type and a darker, Jazz type sound. Sounds great with full archtops (Hofner New Prez), semis and Strats/Teles.
Very interactive controls.
36lbs (16-17kgs) so very portable. I have toyed with the idea of swapping to a neo speaker but it sounds great as is.
The reverb could be better (it is a bit thin and with a long trail, I understand the newer version has an upgraded reverb).
A little bit of hiss in the Jangly setting but other than a bad tube no problems in 6-7 years of ownership.

Hot Rod Deluxe with Cannabis Rex and tube subs.
No better value for powerful, clean tube sound, especially on the gently used market.
The rockers don't like the included distortion circuits, but who cares?
Good news for us.

Kemper through Bose L1 compact using mostly the profiles of my twin and AER Compact XL. Love it!

The two amps I use most are a 1978 Princeton Reverb and Roland Micro Cube (for practicing at home or outdoors). I also have a Valco-made Galanti copy of a Vibro Champ, but I hardly ever touch it lately. TBH, though I mostly don't use my own amps. When I do recording sessions it's usually with plug-ins. The places I've played out at recently have all had amps or I've plugged into the PA. I had a brownface Pro for many years and sold it - thus far in five years I haven't had a situation where I needed something that loud.

Acoustic Image Corus for all gigging. Amp-in-a-bag, 400 watts, two channels--one for guitar, one for mic. Easy to transport; powerful, with plenty of head room; and versatile. What more can you say?
Around home I use a Polytone Mini Brute IV or a Fender Princeton Reverb Reissue.

Several choices:
- For practising jazz at home, Allen Encore head, pinetone 12+10 cab. Probably my favorite amp ever, in part because of how the raw control and MV interact to fatten sound at lower volumes.
- Or, Fender EC Tremolux. Great sounding small amp.
Gig options:
- Gries 20 1x12. Essentially an enhanced deluxe reverb. One channel, superior reverb and effective MV. A do it all kind of amp with beautiful sound. It's my first choice for gigs.
- Quilter 101 mini head with pine 1x15 cab. The uber lightweight alternative. Trying this new rig out today.
- Tweed bassman replica by Sterling. For loud gigs. This is the best sounding tweed I've tried, any vintage. Makes for a huge, warm sound live.

I use a 68 Princeton (no-reverb) it's an original not a reissue. I replaced the speaker with an Eminence "LiL' Buddy". The original speaker sounded fine but wasn't very loud.

Peavey Classic 30. Cannabis Rex speaker, put a lower gain 5751 tube in the clean channel preamp. Went over to a buddies house to play Friday and used his Fender Twin so I didn't have to lug the Peavey's 40 lbs around. Next time I'll take the Peavey. Couldn't get happy with the Twin tone and no pedals. Don't need them with the Peavey.

Hi all...
I'm checking on this place often, but haven't posted in a long time....
I've explored and accumulated some late 40's and 50's Gibson amps plus a few odd 50's Guild amps. Its been a learning experience and I've enjoyed them all but.....
.....as life needs to get simpler I'm playing most often a '69 Princeton Reverb with a 12" baffle conversion....great with a '64 Jensen C12Q but currently using a 90's Fane Alnico 12 a friend convinced me to try.
A big surprise has been a another '69 Princeton (no reverb) with the original 10" baffle and some sort of early 2000's Eminence OEM black ceramic 10. Its got all I need in a great clean sound.
Among the 50's Gibson amps a '55 GA-20 is a standout.

Quilter Steelaire 15". After decades of using a variety of tube amps (Twin, Deluxe, Vintage Sound, Vox) and SS (Roland, Fender), this is the best sounding clean amp I have ever played.

Bose L1 Compact with Digitech, Korg or Zoom multi-effects processor depending on guitar and gig.

My gigging amps:
Fender Princeton '65 RI
Quilter MicroPro 200
Fishman Loudbox Artist - mid/high volume acoustic only
Crate Taxi - low volume acoustic only

That blonde Twin sure is a heartbreaker!!

Quilter Aviator 1x12" Combo and a Quilter 101 mini head and small 1x12" cab w/ JBL K120. Affordable,Powerful Clean Headroom, super lightweight, Dependable Same Tone everytime, Sounds good w/ pedals and all of my guitars fromm 335,Tele,Archtop,OM21 Martin! I used to use Mesa Boogies.
-
Some nice amps being used here!
I have a Jack Anderson 20W (6V6) head and a Sara Richter 33W (6L6) head, and several different cabs to choose from. I rehearse with a Quilter "Aviator" 8 combo (easy to carry, sounds good!), but I prefer performing with either tube amp.
-
JazzKat AcoustiKat for big band and smaller gigs, and shows that need an 'acoustic' guitar.
AI Coda +Redstone 10" for larger venues
Peavey 112 EFX Transtube for shows that have a lot of contemporary music.

The ones I am using:
Portable practice: Yamaha THR10C, Korg Pandora PX5D, Vox AmPhone Twin
Clean sounds: Polytone Mini Brute II and two micro bass amps (GK MB200 and Carvin BX250)
Clean and overdriven sounds: Fender George Benson HRDx, Egnater Rebel 30 head, VHT Special 6 head, Blackheart Killer Ant and Line 6 HD500X into Alto TS110A

Funny I thought I would really miss my Mesa Boogies Tube amps! I've actually come to prefer the clean tone of my Quilters overall.
