Thanks Vincenzo...
Oh yeah I am still going to River Forest, it just didn't work out that I got there in time.
And ahhh no offense to your suggestion but if me and Joe do a duet it's gonna have to be more like The Smothers Brothers with me "singing". LOL... Yeah and the guitar really comforted me this afternoon singing those songs. It sure needs a setup and the flat wounds, then I'll be really singing.

Looks beautiful, Mike. Really fine! Freaky thing-- I was just out walking and whistling 'For You Blue'. Got back and caught up with the thread and read Blondie's christening songlist. Good vibes...

Anyway... these are available in most super markets down here

I guess one is from north the other south Boston? NO similarity other than the habenero :-) So naturally I mix them together, sprinkle some EXTRA garlic powder in and slosh the meat in it.
Made the mistake of rubbing it in without gloves ONCE, and later on I went to the bathroom...YYyyeeeooouuuccchhhh!!!... It's NOT funny!!!
PS. You can rub it onto chicken or ribs and bake them without a smoker too...

All you guys that never made it out to Casa Big missed a hell of a dinner. Those Johnny Triggs Baby Backs and my pineapple baked beans KILLED... Funny thing is after I gave my neighbor Frank and his wife a slab and a bucket of beans and the horse farm guy about 5 ribs and some beans (the wife is a vegan) I still have plenty of food... Who's coming over ?!?!?!?! LOL... Don't ya'll go getting shy on me now, it's Big talking to ya...
Oh Boy I am so excited for you almost delivery guys... It's like reliving Saturday for me all over !!!
-
No, mine is being processed by customs in Chicago.
-
That shouldn't mean anything, it's Monday they'll be slammed - it should whisk right thru. Where are you in relation to Chi-town ??
-
Knowing first hand, Chicago Customs is more interested in intercepting (and smoking) Cuban cigars from Swiss vendors...
Piece of cake...
-
I'm in Miami. Maybe by end of week.
-
NO, it went EMS right ??? Not end of week, EMS means Express Mail Service, so it'll be there tomorrow, keep tabs on that tracking...
-
Post your photo array here if ya want. This is a NGD thread...
"You look terrible, I want you to rest, eat. In a month that Hollywood big shot's gonna give you what you want. I'm gonna make him an offer he can't refuse"
-
I believe it was EMS. That's how they always ship. I still have to put the hole thing together when it gets here.
-
Got my guitar into the tech's shop today. The guy that worked over the Pisano copy (my 6 year ago purchase from Lora/Mr. Wu) was there and I got to slip him $20.00 and tell him what an amazing job he did. The fellas that run the shop were ogling my guitar a lot. And they are now authorized Fuchs amp dealers !!! I know what I'm gonna road test her on Thursday when I pick it up (for a slight up charge).

Ouch! I hope you meant "whole"...the idea of holes, unless sound holes, does not sound good!

So Blondie draws a crowd, huh?
-
Yeah they really liked it, they see all kinds of stuff coming and going. I am sure once it's setup and they're road testing the electronics it'll get them looking again. As I said when I went to walk out I noticed all these Fuchs Amps in their lobby... Not shabby at all. Must have been 8 or 9 combos and heads all Fuchs stuff. WOW !!

BigMikeinNJ and 2B. Have watched these threads since they started. For me it has been like an expectant "Grandfather" over these months, awaiting the arrival and not knowing what you are going to get Thanks for all the updates, its been so fascinating. All I can say is two gorgeous guitars safely delivered.
-
I know, me too!
BigMike, I cannot wait to hear how she sounds once back from your tech!!!
I am about to put a deposit on a Pisano myself... and will be shamelessly copping BigMike's tailpiece and pickguard as well as 2b's S-holes. Now, blond or 2b's burst (or blue), that is the question.

Blondes have more fun...
-
mines ready, I could hear one of the techs wailing away on it over the phone !!
-
Man, what a morning !!
Movers here at 08:15 for 2 1/2 hours, slick very experienced packing crew. Great job. That's one huge step done.
Call the tech, can hear one of the guys wailing on it thru an amp. The guy that duded up my Pisano is in a Stray Cats kind of band, he's got it barking and howling !!!! Cool guy and a good tech.
so I get there and another dude plays some mellowed jazz stuff, being I'm so almost blind there was no way I was gonna try to go into their bench area. But plugged or nplugged she is sweet. Got tha L-5 tone. For me using the Seth Lover was a smart choice. It's slightly overcast here's some new shots.
