Small tube head for jazz

Hi,
There is a demo of my new recording with vocal and bass.I am working on new CD with B.Bacharach music.
I used MV3h and Ga12 cabinet with Jensen Alnico P12N speaker for my Ibanez As-200.
I think you like the sound.

Ok, quick question, please escuse my ignorance, if I have a 30 watt amp, do I need a 30 watt tube head? like...do I need to match the head with the amp in terms of them both being the same wattage?

Do you need a second amp?
Head work with speaker cabinet.
You have an 30 watt amp-I think it is combo/amp and speaker/.

Hi,
I've recorded new clip with semi-hollow Ibanez As-200 and small closed cabinet with 10" Eminence Beta 10A.
I think you like the sound.
I used 2 chanell of MV3 pure amp head/set up: bass at 11,trebble 9 , volume 9/.

Hi,
I've experimented with open back cabinet and Boss EQ GE-7 today.
I've got quite good sound on my hollow-body jazz box.
So I think that good quality EQ made open back cab ready to play with every guitar.You do not need to change cabinet for closed back...:-)

Hi,
I did another sound experiment...guitar stereo recording.
One chanell Sure mike from GA12 cab and second chanell line out from MV3 head.
I think jazz guitar sounds this way very good.

all three sound great, my personal preference is the semi then tele and hollow get the third place. the difference is very minimal though.

1.I like my semi-hollow vintage Ibanez as-200/1982/ very much.
2.Tele is completly differnet for my style of playing but I like the sustain of it.
3.My hollow-body actually has hight string action with Thomastik flatwound Swing 13".

Try the Fender SCX2, or Ibanez TSA-5. That Celestion speaker inside TSA make it very propper for jazz IMO. The TubeScreamer contained is a bonus that you can barely use, maybe at minimum (max +2).
