(comped like your own comping?) What venue is too cheap to provide musicians with a caraf of tap water or have drinkable water in their bathroom??
I just had two Twins full rebuilt a few months ago. Considering I have two basically brand new hand wired Twins the price was negigible IMO. Now they should provide an easy seven or eight years of...
Two drinks on the house is what I call a cheap ass venue. I notice it's often the multi million dollar establishments have the crappiest pay and fewest comped drinks. Usually the biggest load in and...
It might depend on the specific amps you're comparing, but in general they're pretty much the same thing. Since the advent of smaller/lighter FR/FR powered speakers and PA's, most of the keyboard...
I charge $60 usually on my own. I teach for some places that charge the top end of that. But again — it depends on your qualifications and experience. You might not be the same as me.

Gotta say, I’m really impressed with the sound and nuance that went into this plugin. I probably wouldn’t have questioned that it was a virtual instrument. ...
I’ve also noticed quite a hip modern jazz thing to replace dominant chords with ‘non dominant’ sounds (ie they don’t contain both the b7 and 3 of the V chord.) So you have Eb/G or Db/G on a G7...
