A little help explaining shielding with archtop guitars?

nevershouldhavesoldit, I follow your post and I think it's logical, I just disagree. I think the bridge is also a chassis ground. My experience when I worked on assembling guitars for 5 years was that having everything grounded and shielded worked to get the guitar silent independent of if I was near it.
