My first guitar build, using a slab of mahogany and sourcing the neck and other parts from the cheapest squier i could buy (bullet Mustang)
I'm using only a few tools (saw, chisel, drill and lots of sanding paper), but I managed to get a good connection of the neck to the body.
The pickguard is still a carton template, and i want to add a nice wooden knob.
Still need to do a lot of sanding the body and then a finish with tru oil.
So much fun...
It's a quirky fun little design I think.

Thanks! Yes I guess a tone knob could be added, but I like to keep the design void of electronics as much as I can
Irarely use it on my tele when I’m playing anyway since I’m usually right next to my amp

Now that's gonna be a looker for sure!

It looks very original.
Too bad it's not a chambered body.
Great work!

thanks!

Wow - that sounds really fine!! If it plays that well too, you might want to get started on yours ASAP. Or you could keep this one and tell your daughter you’ve had supply chain issues.
