Godin Kingpin 5th Ave Tuning Machine Upgrade Recs?

Hello Friends,

I bought a fabulous Godin archtop guitar last year and I want to upgrade the tuning machines. Does anybody have any recommendations?

Below is a stock picture of the tuners mine has (I think older versions of this guitar had a different type). There is not much information about the tuning machines from Godin's website (here), but I have found some forums saying these tuning machines fit into 8.5mm hole size in the headstock, which isn't the standard. Ideally I would like to find tuning machines that fit this size and not have to adjust the hole.

Here is me playing a chord melody in it.

If anybody has a good recommendation I would be very thankful!

Hipshot makes several nice 8.5mm 3-on-a-side tuners. Kluson also has them, but the Klusons are about 3 times as expensive.

What's wrong with the original tuners?

Why do you think they need to be changed? If the look of the buttons is the problem, perhaps just new buttons would be sufficient, but I don't know why the change is needed, so I can't recommend anything.
