Roger just informed me about a new B165 that is available. This is larger than the B120 , measuring 16.5 across lower bout. I took some measurements on my B165 and scale is 25” and sides are 2.875. If your interested reach out to Roger. I told him I would post this on the forum.
I played this last week when I picked up my B155 and it played effortlessly and sounded great. The price is $6500.
Attached is a pic.

thanks for the heads up
(I can’t justify getting a Borys at the moment ….)
ps apart from them being superb instruments …. the light sunbursts are so beautiful ain’t they ?
would you show a picture of
your new B155 ?

Both of those guitars are beautiful.Borys deserves a lot more attention than he gets.My Borys is the easiset guitar for me to play and my aging hands more than appreciate that fact.

Beautiful, Steve! Congratulations! That guitar is in excellent hands!

My brand new B165 - I chose the slightly bigger model based on my previous ownership of a B120 (ca. 25 years ago), conversations with Roger and the recommendation of QAman (BIG thank you !!!). We have similar tastes in guitars !
This (iPhone 11) clip is the guitar (I have it since Saturday) straight into my BUD6, strung with med. roundwound Sadowsky strings , no post-production. The acoustic volume already increased noticeably over the past 3 days and plugged in is just what I wanted and expected : fat, warm, perfectly balanced with great tonal depth, sustain and effortless playability - Roger has this design down like no other builder ! My Trenier Special (also a lam-top but with a floating pickup) has a more airy and "acoustic" sound when plugged in, maybe a better choice when bigband /swing type comping is called for whereas this B165 fills the void that my BIIIG and HEAVYYY Super-400CES left behind: it has the punch and presence of a much larger guitar and THE SOUND I love in an electrified archtop guitar.

All absolutely beautiful Borys guitars
Thanks everyone
(Going back to my Ibanez laminate for now
of which I can't complain anyway !)

Gitman, those are very nice sounds! That guitar suits you.
I had the pleasure to play the guitar that Larry Koonse owns.
I liked it so much! He mentioned, that his guitar has a quite hot pickup. How is the output of your pickup ?
Playability of that guitar was
perfect! I wish I had one.

What’s the pickup on your B165 gitman?
Looks like a single coil on a humbucker casing…
Sounds fantastic!

As much as we hear the guitar, we are hearing formidable technique in gitman's video! Well done, both Borys and gitman.

that pickup is a humbucker-sized single coil from Kent Armstrong. I can pull up on the volume pot which switches to a second output tap (less winds > brighter tone) , very useful for comping.

I’d second tbel: great technique!
Enjoy your Borys!

So happy to see that Roger is still churning out guitars. Nice to see you have your B155. Never knew that model existed. I'm sure it's great. I like the color, he's just got a great recipe.
