I've been using the large rounded triangle white Clayton Acetals 1mm for some time now. I love the tone they produce but playing faster runs on the thicker strings is a real effort. I've just decided to go back to the Dunlop 2mm Delrins but the purple just disappears on a dark stage. I'm going to shape the Claytons to the same as the delrins.
My fav 'rock' picks are dark as well. Can't remember what they are but they have an alligator logo.

Ralph Towner,Charlie Byrd,Gene Bertoncini,Laurindo Almeida might suggest it doesn't have to be that way.

Sorry to hear that Allan. It's one reason I am always on the lookout for new venues and other places to play.

I simply cannot play anything below 1 3/4 at the nut and that is my minimum requirement. I prefer 1 13/16th or 1 7/8th.
Bridge width minimum 2 3/16ths but prefer 2 1/4.
